If and when you decide to increase your boost by reducing the Supercharger Pulley (Please Note!)
“Increasing Boost above the 5 lb mark will (quickly) increase the temperature of the air leaving the supercharger”
You will need to cool this discharge air and a good option is to install a “water/meth injection system” or an “inter-cooler”. Currently a revised inter-cooler is in the design stages “again”. The previous design used a copper heater core “and it was found that it did not hold up with heavy use at the drag strip. The test vehicle was John Staas 1998 Explorer.
STAGE 3 UPGRADE
If you are looking at the “Stage-3” you are getting anxious to get the most you can out of your “Banshee Supercharger Kit”. Please review the information shown on the (stage-2) page and add to it the following:.
Along with the cooling of the supercharger discharge air and to maximize your power there are a few more considerations for you. First off you will need to increase your fuel supply to handle your new demands, your injectors, maf, and a “high performance tune”, will be needed. As supercharger pulley size is reduced and the possibility of slippage of the serpentine belt becomes a factor, the “Dual Pulley” set up may be needed.
